CET’s current exterior transit advertising policy is limited to public service messages by way of intergovernmental agreements. The open sale of exterior bus ad space is not allowed with the exception of logo signage for Ride the River Sponsorships. CET is prohibited by City of Bend ordinance from placing non-transit literature or advertising at bus stops on benches or in shelters.
CET will post internal cards produced by local agencies and non-profit entities that educate the public or are public service announcements. The cards must be 11” high by 17” wide, with coating or lamination, and must be pre-approved by CET for content and inclusion in the program. The cards are posted on a space available basis.
Ride the River is a self supporting Cascades East Transit route made possible by sponsorships, fares from riders, and public/private partnerships. The route allows residents and visitors to Bend to enjoy floating the Deschutes River through downtown Bend and return upriver with their equipment by bus, freeing congestion and reducing parking demand along Drake Park. Sponsors pay $1000 per year to help support this very popular service and receive recognition in publications and 4 logo only signs placed on the buses.
